Photography and Poem By Dennis Jasperson

My bedroom is the place where I feel as snug as a bug in a rug. My bedroom is a place of silence in which to express myself while I am as snug as a bug in a rug. My bedroom is my place to be by myself and hope that others will be uplifted by the words that I write while feeling as snug as a bug in a rug. Oh, how I want to express how I feel about those who struggle and rise up to help themselves, while I myself feel as snug as a bug in a rug. Oh, how soothing it is to hear the songs of Shane Koyzcan as he sings of people rising up from their struggles, as I sit here in my bedroom as snug as a bug in a rug. I hope and dream that my life will be meaningful, independent and self-sufficient and being heard like the birds singing in the morning or, of course, the chirping of a bug that is snug in a rug.
