Photography and Poem By Mikaela Norum

floating on the waves wandering, wondering standing alone unasked questions drifting by why why why? you fall into the waves lost, scared adrift in the water shaking, drowning in a sea of am I enough? but courage turns a sea into a pond legs hit the bottom you rise legs uncertain on solid ground faces peer out from behind the trees comfort, home you stand legs shaking and you reach out you shine light on their faces you them step out from beyond the trees needs met, all can breathe a new morning sky streaked with orange and yellow hues of lavender shinning through you look out and breathe you sit and breathe
