the flow of the paintbrush.
Fears forgotten,
a lion appears on the paper,
the kaleidoscope of its mane,
vibrant maroon, golden, yellow. 
Concentrating on the emerald eyes,
reflecting his own.
The movement of paint,
a performance of the mind.
Each paw emerges from the brush’s tip,
strong and determined.
They walk across the paper’s skin.
The mind escaping.
