Like a loon on the lake Gliding onto glassy sheen To dive beneath the waves Its cleverness can be seen Like the Borealis in the north A light made as giant Captured once in earnest In the moment of it’s silence Like a pine that scrapes the moon An outlander of the sky It offers those alike A chance to make the climb Like a pen put to paper Recording all to see For nature only knows The machinations of it’s glee Like a loon on the lake From flight it finds its peace As all things come to end All waves come to ease
