Schuyler Impens
Photography and Poem By Raylee Saunders

Blossom into this new adventure The many unknowns may excite you So grab ahold of His welcoming, guiding hand Don’t you worry, it’s all as planned. Right, left, up and down the path may go. And when the trail begins to slow, You reach a stump where roots still show. The tree once stood through storm and sun Its life now told in rings of one by one. Tracing the circles, worn and wide Each mark a year he’s lived inside The joys, the fears, the time you grew, The storms you faced and carried through In quiet pause, You start to see those rings reflect the man you are today. A life well lived, still standing true. And somehow now it’s guiding theirs too.
