Sharon Charles

Photography and Poem By Bernadette Wallace
Sharon Charles
She sits, quiet and serene but with confidence and true strength found within
like the still waters of a midnight lagoon
so calm, so peaceful,
reflecting the gentle shine of the moon.
Yet when you take a deeper look,
beneath the surface, you will behold
wonderful creatures of colors so rich, so deep so beautifully bold
Not confined to one language,
she learns many, her shining intellect grows
but the tongue which she loves the most
is the one the whole world knows.
This language swims freely throughout the lagoon, and is covered in scales from which rise a melodious tune.
This tune echoes through the waters in the night, filling every listener with utter delight.
Its melodies are wondrous to the ear,
so listen to her carefully,
and you will delight in what you hear.
